Mornin', kj.

Well, Jack does like to go camping where it's warm, and I think he can convince Ennis to tag along... :) And you're correct, they need to have more mail than catalogues and divorce papers... just like the rest of us!

I appreciate the comment. Food for thought.

Thanks again.

i think this story was just great. i enjoyed every chapter, through and through. got a little confused about emmaline and kiernan, but wrote it off to me being a little slow on the pick up. i especially liked when the reporter couldn't find the confused in casper column. i also enjoyed how you broke it that jack had bought the old homestead. thanks for writing and thanks for posting.

Afternoon, gr.

Well, Emmaline and Patrick [middle name Kiernan] were the two Boston lovers, pulled apart by fate in the late 1800's, and were great-grandmother and great-grandfather of Jack and Ennis respectively. Ennis' brother KE got the middle name, not the first name, of his great-grandfather. Hmmm. I'll have to re-read that myself!!

Glad you loved it, and appreciate all your comments through the posting.

Thanks again.

Well cwby30 alias Bud,
Now you've finished this little tale I can hunker
down and give it a chance. See, I don't have a whole
lot of that patience stuff and waitin around for updates just aint my way. But I'm done now and I have
to say what a joy it's been. Warm and wise and a bit
mystical to boot. Nothing wrong with any of that.

My thanks for a lovely time indeed.

Oh I loved the last few parts and it was fun to see the workings of Jack's mind still worried and I loved the story of Jack's grandmother and the fact she looked down on them with a smile. It also cemented the relationship for Ennis. I'm sorry his Jenny is not so accepting but well, he does have Junior and Bobby and this is just great. I'm so happy they have this lovely home to themselves out in the middle of nowhere and are happy together. It warms my heart thinking on them sitting by the far snuggling. Joe

That was an interesting "twist" about the great grandparents. Took a lot of thought to come up with that I'll bet, or maybe it just sprang into your head. Whichever, I liked it. And I liked the lighthearted epilogue 2. With Francie upset, it wasn't perfect, which is more realistic. Really enjoyed the whole story. :)
