The person whom I supervise, who has schizophrenia, continues to burn through new meds. I am beginning to suspect we're going to run through all the available options. For the past week and a half, she has been averaging every other day with a spike in symptoms, such as today ( Read more... )

They are a great resource, however I believe the problem is resistance to the meds in terms of physiology, rather than noncompliance. I watch her take her meds every time, every day.

This person had a first episode three years before dx, imho, but she wasn't seen by a clinician until she was on her way back to reality. Our current dr. says we're still in good time, but the longer we go, the more concerned I am that it's treatment-resistant sz.
