Oooh, I got a delightful shiver from that ending!

This was utterly wonderful! The descriptions of everything inside (and outside) the hall was so wonderfully cinematic that I felt like I was watching the whole thing on telly.

I wanted to be at that party!!

I was really pleased to have finished this story after so long, and I wasn't sure if the ending worked, as it's quite abrupt, so I'm glad it tingled your spine a bit.
