Anywho,  tonight I'm gonna watch Wilde, then The Who's Six Quick Ones is on Vh1 Classic, then Pirate Radio.

Discovered a band called Small Faces today, and they are my new life. XD LOVE them, and the fact that Robert Plant stole "Whole Lotta Lovin" off them makes me love them even more and hate Zeppelin more.

Also, Small Faces. <3. Though, when Steve Marriott left to start Humble Pie (I used to know one of their guitarists!) and Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood joined and they became Faces, they got even better. /nerding

I often forget that not everyone grew up with parents that exposed them to the awesomesauce that is 60's and 70's rock and therefore has yet to discover it.

Oh! re-nerding. Faces covered Dylan's "The Wicked Messenger" on their first album First Step, though it's miscredited to Small Faces. They (Faces) also covered "Maybe I'm Amazed" on their second album, Long Player. /nerding

Ronnie Wood was in the Faces?! Did not know! I knew about Faces before Small Faces, weirdly enough. : / But I'm not into Rod Stewart, so I like the original band better. XD But omg you knew one of them?! O_O

Well, my parents were around at that time, but they're only into the big pop groups... The Beatles, Monkees, Stones, Elton John, Beach Boys... :( They're all good, but there's a shitload they DON'T like that are amazing XD

Okay, now that my over-dramatics are, well, over...lol

I knew one of the guitarists for Humble Pie, not Faces. I wish. No, but Phil Dix, he was a touring guitarist for Humble Pie in the late 70's. The dude is fricking awesome/hilarious/weird. LOL. He introduces himself by shaking your hand and saying, "Phil Dix, Humble Pie." He lived around here a few years back and worked in a guitar shop. My brother took guitar lessons from him for a little while. It was pretty sweet. I'd go and just hang out in the shop while he and my brother were in the back of the shop doing the lesson and wait for them to get done just to talk to him or listen to him talk for a while.

I mean, sure they're hot on stage or whatever, and they're good musicians, but there are MUCH better ones out there. /rantover
