I'm not getting my hopes up until I see photographic proof. Hiddleston has also been rumored with Star Wars, Jurassic Park and just about 99.9% of every new movie in development.

However, I wouldn't mind if they changed the ages around and he was James' cousin who masquerades as pirate on behalf of the Royal Navy.

Basically, they need less Jack Sparrow, more well-written characterization of supporting characters.

I would tell them to stop killing Royal Navy people off but...they killed everyone we have ever grown to care about already...aside from Gibbs who appears to be the only man left to have served under Norrington.
