Are you having PotC dreams?
Last night, despite getting barely any sleep, I had a surprising amount of dreams.
I wish I could remember them better, but so far all I've got is one dream where Norrington is on the Black Pearl circa DMC and trying to collect the truth from Jack Sparrow by talking with him. In my dream it is well known that Jack is a liar and not to take what he says at face value. Norrington has been able to figure out that Jack actually tells the truth a lot and he can get away with telling the truth because everyone will think it's a lie. It's just a matter of listening very carefully to what Jack says and the more he talks the more truth you can get out of him. So Norrington spends all his free time on the Black Pearl trying to get Jack to talk to him.
Then I had this other dream sequence where Mercer was a ship's capt. and he wore a red coat and had an eye-patch. He was on the run from another ship, most likely pirates, because he had some extremely valuable cargo (i.e. something magical). He kept to the coast and kept hiding in inlets and natural harbors, but the pirates were always right behind him. In desperation, he deliberately beached his ship in a natural hamlet. The tide went out and left his ship on the beach, with the pirates arriving just behind them, but unable to get into the harbor. As Mercer was having his crew haul the magical object up the hills, deeper into the island (I think they were on an island), the pirates began to close in by rowing up to the exposed sand to take the object. There was a battle on the beach and the pirates crashed through the jungles after the object. When they get to it, they realize that the man in the red coat is not Mercer and the crate is empty of magical value. Meanwhile, the tide has come back in and the beached ship makes it way out of the harbor with it's captain in a black coat and the magical cargo safe and sound. The pirate boats are smashed and their pieces float in the tidewaters. Capt. Mercer takes everything of value from the pirate ship and then sets it afire. The pirates find themselves marooned. THE WHOLE TIME THE SOUNDTRACK TO RAISERS OF THE LOST ARK WAS PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. It was awesome. Now I just need to find out what that object was and fic the hell out of this dream.
Then I had a Snape/Hermione dream. Who wants to hear about that one?
