And yet she was the red rose, the sinner, the whore. I don't know why, but I really like this.
His lordship was nothing less than harried and bore the look of a man lately disturbed from sleep. Of course, he wore both breeches and coat but his hair had yet to be dressed and languid brown curls dripped across his shoulders, contained by a loose queue. I read this and thought, "mmm... tasty..."

I don't care what you say. I am a Beckabeth shipper and I loved this chapter. It made me thing and wonder if it was Mrs. Prior who set Liz loose. Hmm... *wanders off thinking to wait for the next chapter*

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I am so glad you enjoyed this chapter even as a Beckabeth shipper. I know I have more or less severed their relationship just as things were starting to heat up, but unfortunately the plot demanded it ;) The next chapter should be posted soon. Have a great weekend!

Ah! But is Elizabeth dead? Who set her free? And if she's alive, where the heck is she? The chapter was great, hehe, Elizabeth running or no. (Honestly, I'm glad she did). But these questions are going to buzz around my head til next chapter.

Thank you kindly! I do so appreciate your comments. No, Elizabeth is not dead, but she will have a reduced role in this story from now until sometime near the end. Hopefully, the next chapter will be posted soon. Have a great weekend!

Hi! Another great installment. You have a gift for twists that aren't just written for the sake of twists. My favorite part was Beckett's harrassed state in the prison. I love the way you writing him in this fic, how we know exactly what he's thinking but never what he's feeling

Hey ophelivia, always great to hear from you. I'm so glad you liked this chapter, along with the twist. I always get nervous when posting such chapters as not everyone appreciates sudden changes in the plot. Thanks for commenting! With any luck, I should have the next chapter posted soon. Have a great week!
