I was also pretty thrown off by Syaoran at first, but I think it's ok! It will matter more with who the voice actor is.

WOW if this happens, it will be amazing... Assuming that they have good funding and don't have to cut back on animation, it will be great to have an alternative version of the story!! I always appreciate different interpretations.
