If this is a whole new world, then why's it look like Japan did a hundred years ago? Some kinda... culture-studying aliens, or something?

Not sure, but it's kinda like a bunch of other worlds SMASHED together into one world! I guess that's why where ever you're at looks alike, ya know?

I always thought Earth was the only world that had life on it... I mean, I keep hearing stuff on the news about insects or something on Mars, but... insects aren't people. They don't count.
