Some locals just aren't the welcome wagon.
I'm at work and it's at a grocery story chain, that's sort of local, I don't know. Anyways, we see these people so much we know their name, their kids name, we go to school with some of them, etc. etc.
AND we are having a friendly worker 2 month period where we have to be super nice to all the customers and see if we get the most call in or talk to the manager compliments about how nice we were, and at the end of the contest, winner gets to write their own schedule for a week, no questions asked. Pretty awesome for us.
This one woman comes up, and I see her all the time, I know what she buys, and she's normally a good customer.
She was about 19 cents short, and was getting flustered and was digging in her purse, and since she's such a regular customer, I just offered to give her two dimes, and just karma it.
Apparently she felt offended that I thought she couldnt afford the ticket, even though she has a 3 year old, who was being pissy with her, and instead of being greatful, she talks to my manager about how unprofessional I was being..
Fuck you lady, I am no longer being friendly to you! Buy your groceries elsewhere! Some people, you know...
