Thought I'd post this as it was easily one of the strangest sucks we've ever had, and one of my coworkers brought it up and reminded me of it.
Woman comes up to the frame counter holding a large, completed frame.
Me: Hi! What can I do for you?
Her: I need to have this fixed.
Me: No problem, what's the matter with it?
Her: C designed it for me, but she did it wrong. If you look at it for too long you go insane.
Me: *laughs, assuming she's kidding*
Her: *glares* WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING?!
Me: I'm sorry....what?
Her: The colors are just wrong, she did it wrong, and it's in my house and whenever I'm in the room with it it's like it's affecting my brain, it makes me go insane! You have to fix it for me!
Me: Okay. Well, technically the colors aren't 'wrong', there's no real wrong or right in this business, just what looks good and suits your taste. I can try to help you pick out some replacement mats so it'll look better to you, but I can't really tell what combination is going to be less upsetting to you.
Her: You're going to fix it for free, right? Because she did it wrong. It's wrong and I can't live with it anymore.
On and on and on....
In the end, she didn't like any of the other options we suggested, and couldn't come up with anything on her own, and ended up bringing her husband in to look at mats. He convinced her that there was nothing wrong with it, and she never did have anything changed.
What got me was her absolute, serious insistence that the thing was actually fucking with her head, and that it was our fault for choosing colors that would do that.
