So I just watched "Course: Oblivion" last night, and I remember being incredibly distressed by that episode when it first aired ten years ago, but I didn't realize it was that episode at first. That is such a heartbreaking forty-some minutes of television, Internet-- if "The Siege of Ar-358" is the Band of Brothers of Star Trek, "Course: Oblivion" ( Read more... )

Allegedly, there is a mythical torrent out there with Doctor Who in its entirety.

You know, I defriended you three years ago and, as far as I can remember, haven't spoken to you since. I had serious mental health-related reasons for it at the time, and while they aren't nearly as immediate a concern now, my desire not to talk to you still stands.

I've ignored you for years, because I didn't and still don't want to explain my reasons for defriending to begin with, but I am tired of waiting for you to get the hint and stop commenting on my journal as though we were still friends. We have not been friends for a very long time, and I have banned you. Goodbye.

I am going to rewatch Farscape and The X-Files both! It's just a matter of which I want to watch first.

Something made this decade :P

A:TLA is amazing, and the first season of Community is very good (I haven't seen the second yet).

I've seen ATLA and I'm going to watch Community! But I've sort of set a nostalgic-nerdery theme with Trek and XF and Who and I'm keeping to that for now.

Xena? I've heard good things about Dark Shadows as well.

I never watched either of those to begin with, so I hadn't even considered Xena :O

If you want an off-beat and...JUST REALLY KIND OF WEIRD non-American sci-fi, you might try Lexx. There's the original mini series, then a couple longer series after that, and it features an undead assassin, a pervy robot head and a ship that looks vaguely like a penis. ... it was kind of going for edgy-adult, okay.

I'M NOT SAYING IT'S THE BEST SHOW but I found it entertaining.

Dude, aren't you going to watch Nemesis? If you're going to do Enterprise you might as well watch Nemesis.

I liked parts of Enterprise the first time around, and am willing to give it another shot, but I've seen Nemesis twice and already know it's good for absolutely nothing but being visually hideous and sending me into fits of rage. I forwent that one TNG ep where Riker falls in love with an androgyne, for similar reasons, but those are the only two things I'm skipping.

I am both intimidated and impressed by your thoroughness! I remember watching it with my mom, dad, brother, aunt, and uncle and being really disturbed by the sex scene at the time. I don't know why, I think Riker's back just freaked me out or something.
