I was just going to write a half-assed bit of dialogue, more like a RP narrative than an actual story, about Hilary and St. George Sorting Things Out. And then it turned out to be about 4500 words long, because they had a lot of Things to Sort Out, I guess. Looked over by hhertzof, who is a saint

I think you write the best things about how actual loving relationships work, or at least how I'd desperately like them to work. It's in so many ways imperfect, taken up by people who are utterly imperfect themselves, but they love each other to the point of making cynics in a ten mile radius projective vomit. And it's lovely to think about the fact that the words that really ended up meaning something, that became the 'what if' for the fact that they are still married, weren't written in guile or poetry meant to specifically woo or pull for forgiveness, they were meant in honesty, written like the simple facts they are.

Your dialogue is always top-notch, and I can't honestly say that I know the characters very well, but I think it makes a point that I feel like I do know them very well from the way you write them - they're never saying things for the sake of saying them, everything they say is, or becomes, a facet of that character. One of these days I think I might read these books and feel like the book is OOC, because even if
