Today is an excellent day. I went on a date! With a real live girl! My gosh! And it was not OMG THE MOST EPIC ROMANTIC THING EVER but we got coffee and pastries and hung out for an hour or so and it was a pretty nice time. So I feel marginally better about things now

Ricky Ponting is the Australian cricket captain (and disaster with the bat in the latest series), who in a side full of strapping blokes with ruddy complexions, looks like a Victorian street urchin. I think time-travel is the only explanation :-)
