Friday night - saw Jane Eyre.  I do agree with the At The Movies folk - of the movie adaptations I've seen, it's the best.  It's certainly more gothic than previous version, as it should be - being on the cusp of the genre

Congratulations, anyway, on permanency. At least it gives you a secure position from which to seek something better.

Yep, that's my thinking - it means I don't get tossed around the department like a hot potato and get stuck in completely inappropriate duties just because they have a temporary vacancy.
