Hero System 6th Edition

That flew in under the radar (released 19 August) - I only found out about it on the DriveThruRPG newsletter I got today - and I frequent the Hero forums daily.
I guess they can't be bothered announcing things in the areas I frequent.

Nevertheless I'm buying it - even though it's only available as a PDF so far.

Wow, that's a surprise. I've barely had a chance to play 5th edition!

It's been 7 years since 5th edition - that's twice as long as normal between editions for a roleplaying system :)

Although that being said Hero 5th came out in 2002, D20 3.5 came out in 2003 and D20 4ed came out in 2008

Yes, but that was a pretty quick turnaround for (A)D&D..In the main, first, second and third were about a decade apart.
