A few screencaps for you...

May 05, 2010 12:58

So... instead of taking a nap (which would be highly sane, I've had five hours of sleep in the last forty-eight - apparently caffeine, while not actually keeping me awake in the daytime, does give me creeptastic nightmares), I am putting up a couple of my screencaps as a bit of a teaser for y'all ( Read more... )

Given dhswi's fevered excitment i am assuming that since she has not commented she is flailed a little too much and now is unconcious on the floor ;D
001 is the best in my opinion of the first three, you could tweak the saturation a little on it but it grand as is.
005 is the better of the bottom two again imo.
Hope you get to snooze, looking forward to the rest :D

I have actually been out at work. Yes, I have a job, albeit one day a week. I'd kill for it to be at least three days, I LOVE IT so much.

But now I'm home, and yes, this is old Illya, handsome, old Illya.

I see what you meant. Definitely can see Illya peeking through Ducky's eyes.

Would I sound totally blasphemous by saying I'm in love with that picture of him as Judas?

Ah, well......;)

Oh, wait'll you see some of the others. But yeah - now you see why capping GSET messes with my head! ;-)

(Not to mention, he does his very best to make the audience understand and sympathize with the character of Judas. His very best! Nobody but Charlton Heston is a match for that... so, yeah. GSET will be posted in sections, with time between for me to recover my mental balance.)

There's something about a man in ancient period dress that makes me melt.:D

Sounds interesting...I'll def. have to track that movie down to see his part.

It's slow as molasses most of the time - I think they were trying to look dignified - but David is wonderful, John the Baptist (Charlton Heston) has some of the best snark ever heard in a Jesus movie, and of course there's Marty Landau as Caiaphas.

I recommend reading through the IMDb cast list to check if there's anyone else you particularly want to watch out for; the thing has literally an all-star cast, with frightfully famous people in bit parts.

Well, I'm no highly paid and internationally respected artiste like togsos *w* , but here is my two cents worth. On my monitor, anyway, the caps look still quite dark. Granted, NCIS always looks a bit dark to me when I watch it on my pc or on an actual tv, but I like to see what I'm looking at, so I always tweak when I cap.

Just as an example...

highly paid and internationally respected "colourer of stuff in" I will have you know (that's practically my official title :)

Highly paid for colouring stuff in, maybe, but the majority of the international respect comes from your actual artistic work i.e. the chibis. ;D

(And the not!chibis. That pencil sketch of Illya... *drools*)

You're so cute when you throw in all those disclaimers... *hugs you*

I figured I was probably being wildly overcautious with that shot - I always worry about changing things too much and messing up, or not matching levels between caps. But I've been so tired, I hadn't the energy to play with it.

Thanks for the demo!

I admire all of your work, colouring in, tweaking, doing whatever you do with the saturation - it's all completely Greek to me. However, I am very good at sighing and drooling. And yes, he was a fantastically empathetic Judas. He makes a speech just before he(Judas) dies which is unbelievably moving and remains vivid to me, utterly vivid.

Forgot to say, I LOVE the man in braces!

(I always giggle over the mass of confusion surrounding braces, tooth braces, suspenders, girdles, and garter belts in British vs American terminology...)

I just cannot bring myself to say 'I love a man in suspenders'! We use braces for the things holding up your trousers and for the things on your teeth without qualifying them with anything like 'tooth' etc. Suspenders are strictly for the girls, hence the hysteria when I think about our lovely Ducky. But you probably know all this. Two nations divided by a common language . . .!

Well, I have seen a picture of RV in suspenders (and I do mean that in the most English way), so maybe out there somewhere, we could find our DMcC in some such outfit.
