My first day back at LJ. I like the new login, lol.

My Scout Troop is going to Uwharrie for a backpacking trip this weekend. I hope I have made all the right preparations... we shall see!

Meantime, Kelli is heading out of the country again on Sunday, before I get back from the trip... yikes! I'll be Mr. Mom again for two weeks this time.

Hi! Welcome back to LJ!

Have a great time backpacking this weekend. As a word of advice, it is supposed to be pretty cold at night Friday and Saturday. We are expecting our first frost of the season this weekend. Remember to pack enough WARM things for the evenings so that you all won't freeze before you get back. :)

Indeed! We made sure the boys know they should have zero degree bags; if not, we'll make garbage-bag "sleeves" for their bags, which will help preserve some heat.

Ahh... well, hopefully she is enjoying seeing the world. Last I had heard she was going to get a job, but I hadn't heard yet what she was doing. Sounds like it's working out. Maybe one day she'll get time to post about her travels. :)
