This is so upsetting. I have two LJ friends who I haven't seen or heard from in years, who are dearly loved and missed -- nobody's sure whether they're even alive. If their journals disappear, that's it, they're gone forever. Including their comments, in my own posts. The thought's horrifying. Hopefully they'll opt for the alternative. :(
