I'm sure many of you have noticed the brand-new White House website, complete with shiny new blog. Apparently it was up and running by the time Obama had finished taking the oath of office. And it's certainly very snazzy-looking, and I can see why people are excited about it. But as someone who spent an hour or so this morning typing a response

But it's all on archive.org, isn't it?

The web pages, presumably, yes - the Internet Archive were partners in the project I mentioned above, along with the Library of Congress and various others. But the governmental emails are another matter entirely.
