I disagree, because for me each song on UO is like a hook, I couldn't get enough of any of them, and on Domestica there are a lot of songs that borthered me, I like Tim's voice on UO better, and i like(d) Gretta's parts on the album as well......
NO WAY! ugly organ like, affects me. while i like domestica very very much, i agree that ugly organ is just better. it's heart wrenching. and i like the cello.
love them both buttt....DOMESTICA owns my heart...Greta's cello on that cd is so much more apparent...and entire concept album thing I really love....Plus recently I was reading about all the connections in domestcia...and i think about it, and its true...he repeats things...
-"And theres still a hole where the phone was thrown"-the casualty "I throughout the phone to try to get through to you"-the radiator hums -the repetition of "pretty baby"
and im pretty sure there is more.
I dont know, domestica just hits the spot.the lyrics get me too
Domestica doesn't feel cohesive to me; it feels like a bunch of songs on an album.
The Ugly Organ is a story unto itself. Mistakes, Fights, Remorse, Love, and a pledge to keep moving at the end. As others have said, Ugly Organ affects me. "Staying Alive" is my mantra for life when the going gets rough.
(sidenote: even though they're night and day, you can see the influences on Happy Hollow from Ugly Organ... including Kasher's almost carnival barker creepiness at times.)
