a friend of mine took their management program way back. She's really enjoyed herself and is now the Manager of the Deli and the new store in Dartmouth, I believe.
once i qualify, i'm doing the same thing! -giggle- I am acctualy really happy I work for Sobey's! The opertunity to do the school thing with their support is amazing! and the thing they're supporting is what I ultimately wanna do!
I worked at that same store back around 2000 for all of 4 months, and left just before they would have fired me anyways.
Apparently I'm not good with cash, as I was often off at the end of my shift, and never the same amount, or in the same direction, twice. I went through the 3 warnings, but never could figure out what I was doing, and neither could they when they finally had someone watch me after I reminded them that was part of the process.
I also couldn't stand standing for 8 hours a day, I'd literally be limping out of the store. More than 1 hour puts me in pain.

-giggle- i was doing the OH MY GOD MY BACK HURTS dance from 5:30ish until 6:30ish when they let me go home! i was nervous as hell for the first hour or two! and then i got right into it!!! I don't talk much unless for some reason their around my age, or have kids... dunno why! lol
