I feel like making it my mission/goal in life to be able to secure a good & nice job, one would require me to live in Japan. OCD? No, that's not the right word for it. One bad thing about Malaysia is the lack of really good opportunities to work in the media industry (I don't know about the others, sorry).

I agree about the future being already written. But as we don't know which paths is already set for us, we just have to give everything our all, so that we don't have any regrets. I guess. Because everything could happen, you can't give up. (Or, if you do give up on something, then it means this was so not the path you were meant to follow.)
So yes, keep trying, and you never know what may happen in the future. :)
