your college list is pretty good, because you have a few reach schools, both public and private, some medium range schools, and some back-up schools. So that is a smart list. Just remember that the odds that you get into USC or Cornell, even if you are an exceptional student, is relatively slim. In other words, there is a very good chance you will end up going to a UC. And you know what? UC's are great ! I'm not trying to discourage you though, just saying something that I learned through my experience. Best of luck, i know this semester will be tough, but it will go by quickly and before you know it, it will be past, and you will be impatiently waiting those acceptance letters.

It is a lot harder, in general, to get into UCLA (ahem go bruins) and Cal, than Cornell (the general school, not the hotel management, architecture, etc programs which are very competitive). And the same in regards with USC. Though the reputation is getting better and better, it is still "easier" to get accepted there. Now this is in most cases...I truly think a lot of the college acceptance process is based on luck.

and this is a good website for all of you seniors out there--

www.collegeconfidential.com and go to the discussion boards there. lots of good info
