One option is to switch to washing the night before and letting it dry overnight while you're still indoors. Uncomfortable? Yes, but better than getting a headcold or something worse.

i shower at night, put normal products in my hair, and try not to move too much in bed at night! if i have to moisten my hair in the morning to smooth out stray frizzies i don't drench it, i just went my hands and use them to smooth things over. my hair's pretty curly (straightening isn't even an option), and this seems to work for me.

but i agree-- in middle school/HS i was stupid and hadn't found products that worked, and i'd drench my hair in the morning, go out to the bus, and my hair would literally freeze solid. (new hampshire-- brrrr.) it was awful. i can't believe i did that!

Thats what I do. If you have a few extra minutes, pile your hair up and pin it in place before you go to sleep (I use a few heavy-duty barrettes because bobby pins tend to get lost in my hair). That kind of keeps the curls scrunched, and there is less frizz in the morning. The downside is your hair might still be a little damp in the morning.

I do this too if I want lots of volume. Otherwise I take my shower early enough for my hair to dry. Instead of water, I tend to use a little bit of oil to smooth things out.

Spritzing with lavender water works for me.

i get up an hour and a half before class, so it was SOME time to ary dry. that said, by the time i et to class its still pretty wet and partially frozen. i never got sick from it though. also, when im too lazy to get it wet, i just pig tail braid it. i cant deal with second day curls/frizz, and the pigtaisl cover the frizz pretty well.

u might want to try a diffuser. if i could afford $100 i would probably go that route.

You can get a good diffuser attachment to your blow dryer for a lot cheaper than $100.

lol, I live in southern California so it's never that cold. That being said, I STILL switch to diffusing my hair in the morning during the winter because I get cold easily.

It means I have to get up about 30 minutes earlier, but hey, it's better than freezing.
