The reviews on Makeup Alley are terrible. Some say it ruined their hair. I'd proceed with caution.

I was also really excited about this product but I read reviews on 4-5 sites and far too many people said it ruined their hair - to the point that it was irreparable and sometimes had to be cut off - that it scared me off :-/ Not saying you shouldn't try it, just make sure you read plenty of reviews and maybe ask a few stylists for their opinions!

I tried it a little over a week ago and it didn't do much for my frizz or the process of straightening my hair. However, it makes my hair stay straight after I have straightened it, which is nice ( ... )

Ooh, a glove? I had no idea; that's sounds like a great thing for klutzy people like myself. Also the mini straightener; my biggest issue is having the hair at the roots still wave while the rest is flat. The smell part...hmm, I don't mind it during the process, but if it's still there after you wash...that's no bueno. Thanks for your thoughts!

Oh yes, I attacked my bathroom with perfume during the 30 minute process, but I was so sad when after I washed and styled it, I laid down and ewwww the smell was there!

The mini straightener is totally on my Christmas list, I get those annoying waves at the roots too! It's time they met their match!

Every review I've read says it's bad news bears.

On another note, I LOVE your regular style!

Yeppers, I'm getting the feeling it may not be worth it. I was looking for a less permanent solution then the $300 salon treatments.I like my curly hair, but sometimes in the humidity it gets so big and frizzy it's like it's a sentient being :P
And thank you!

the only thing worth it to me is the CHI. i blow my hair out and then in TINY sections straighten it. it lasts up to 2 days, but i like a clean head so cant go longer.

honestly, you don't even need a product like that to blow out your hair smooth. i blow out my own hair a couple of times a week, and the only product i use is some silk and some leave in conditioner.
to give you an idea:

i don't use a flat iron at all. i just use a good blow dryer with a diffuser and a round brush.
