So, I am getting my naturally curly hair cut soon, and the stylist told me to come in with pictures. This is all fine and dandy, except I don't know where to find a picture of what I'm thinking! D: I scoured the curly hair files, but alas, to no avail ( Read more... )

I tried it, and after a month realized it just looked ridiculous and ended up getting it all cut off short (as that was the only way left to fix it based on the length left). Everyone knows curly hair has super body to begin with, a cut to give it MORE body unless it's really fine is going to be wild. So if you don't mind looking like a pyramid head or basically having a white girl afro, go for it.

I had an a-line and it didn't work out. Actually, my hair is awful right now becuase I haven't gotten a cut since that one, lol. It looked good for about two days, then looked awful for about a month, looked good for about a week, and then turned to crap again. I think it doesn't work for most curlies because different parts of our hair curl differently, like mine is curlier in the front than in the back, so it just doesn't hang right after a while like an a-line with straight hair would. This isn't to say you shouldn't try it... it could work out just fine! Everyone's hair is different, and maybe your stylist will work it out.

That's pretty much how mine did... some days it looked awesome, some days I was embarrassed to go out. Though my hair is quite the opposite, it's super curly in the back, with big ringlets, and the front pieces have been bleached so they're kind of...frizzy half-curled and like to poof a lot.
