I must admit I find the midpoint seasonal change feels closer to actual weather than the equinoxes and solstices.

In my mind summer starts in mid-May when we begin to prepare for the TT!

Blessed Beltane! Someone working the Persephone Farm stand at the market wished me a happy one on Saturday, which is the first time I think that's ever happened. *g*

That would be a first for me, too, I think. To be honest I am more likely to think of May 1st as 'time to stock up on ice-cream, because summer is icumen in', than anything deeper!!
