The storm blew over overnight and did little damage - for us, personally, the only sign of it was a pot of cyclamen blown across the garde; but they were still fine so I just had to pick them up and put them back in place ( Read more... )

A rose at Christmas is such a special occurrence...yours is lovely! I had one also but forgot to cut it and bring it inside.

I'm glad the storm passed by with not much "bite" to it!

There are still a couple of buds on the same rose bush - but we are getting frost at nights now so I'm not expecting them to open now. So that one for Christmas was probably the last till the summer now.

The gift of mirth would be much appreciated this year, I think.
