I have had a few LJ friends pass away and two who had become really dear and close face to face friends. I'm so sorry to read about your friend's death.
You had a busy morning! I do love those owlets. :)
Yes, I would really love to know what happened to Josie. She has also disappeared from FB and although I left her a birthday greeting last year and just the other day and have enquired how she is, there is no response. I have a bad feeling about all that, sadly.
I am so sorry for your and elwenlj's loss, and the husband and parents' loss, of course. She must have been relatively young, having living parents. Very sad.
It is much more a loss for Elwen as they were really good friends - but her posts were a regular part of my friends list and I feel so very sorry for her husband in particular - neither were in good health but seemed to work as a team and he will find life very lonely I think.
I am glad that, by passing on elwenlj's news, it let you know.
Elwen spoke to Febobe each week by skype and I am pretty sure has visited her in the past (Elwen lives in the UK). So she also knows some of her family via FB and skype who kept her informed.
The owlets were fun to do - I tried to make each one an individual.

Somehow you would think things would be less busy at present - but things like the shopping have become major undertakings!
The owlets are rather fun - I have knitted quite few of them in the past 10 days or so!

It is funny the way such small things as going to the local supermarket are now Big News!
I was really quite pleased with the owlets. I think every one was a little different.

The owlets are still the cutest things I have seen this season.
