I love the apple crabs. Can definitely see why the magnet fishing game was a hit - and I would like to have seen the bottled seas, too.

The apple crabs were quite a hit - and healthier than biscuits and cakes which we often use as the food craft.

You'll have to have a go at your own sea in a bottle!

I always enjoy your Messy Church posts. Such imagination and creativity in the projects, and you describe the goings-on so well, it's almost like being there! I especially loved the jellyfish and apple crabs this time, although the sea in the bottle sounds like lots of fun too.

The jelly fish were a good outlet for creativity - lots of different tissue papers and coloured pens - really good fun. But I think the apple crabs were a really good idea, too.

Ooof, I'm not surprised you are tired and had a lot of clearing up! But it sounds tremendously fun as ever, with such a mix. Your Messy Church is always such a fun read.

It was a fun afternoon - but noisy! Ali's apple crabs were a nice change from doing biscuits or cakes. And we use an Australian site for the stories - which had really neat cartoons to illustrate, so the whole thing goes together. But I came home and went 'Ooof!'

Another great Messy Church! I love all your ideas...where do you find so many fun things to do? Though I know it's a group effort. I do love the apple crabs (that would be a lovely activity for a children's birthday party as well) and the fishing game.

I tend to collect ideas on a pinterest board if I see anything that might be useful in the future - and we adapt a bit. Then the magnetic fishing game was based on something some of us remember plating as children - and seemed to give as much fun as a computer fishing game would.

I love your icon - it is very, very, suitable!
