Oh my goodness, what a mess (briefly, I'm sure). :)

I know - I have been very mean to them, really! Especially poor Éomer.

*g* I'm suspecting it's Lothíriel's translation skills that might have done this but it's at just the right moment! Eomer blew it by not being there, the orcs made everyone jittery and probably there are some pre-wedding nerves going on, but whatever the case, it's a perfectly awful place to leave it. ;) Unless you're the writer and then it's HA! A cliff-hanger!

And I'll admit it. You've got me feeling a bit bad for the orcs. No big boss, too many guys hanging about in armor and geez, all you try and do is chomp a leg o'horse and everyone goes banonkas. Looking forward to more!

You've got it ;)

I actually could see the rest of the orcs deciding to just lie low and let the party past - but one, even stupider than the average, going 'woman-on-a-horse! That's what the boss said to get...'

I'm just sorting out the points of view for the next bit and then it will be written fairly quickly, I hope.

Oh, horse puckys! Or something along those lines.

Well they say the path of true love never runs smooth but this has to be one of the bumpier ones.

Poor Orc, all he wanted was to nibble on a horse not get beaten on by one.

More please,

Lynda

Thanks you Lynda.

I have been mean to them - if it is possible to misunderstand something... actually so far the end to that line is 'Éomer will.' Perhaps not his fault this time.

I felt almost sorry for the rest of the orcs, who might have laid low and let the party of well armed guys on horses past - but it just takes one!

What an exciting chapter! Oh dear, more misunderstandings for these two!

Thank you - I'm really pleased that you enjoyed it. I think, once they sort this one out, they'd better get married quickly!

Oh, now that was rather wicked of you! Though my money is on translation error, and Éowyn will hopefully not laugh at either her brother or sister-in-law when she hears about it later --unless she's horrified by the suggestion that Éomer might not have behaved honourably? Although, why is everyone else acting weird around Lothíriel if . . . argh, now I'm going to be worrying at this when I should be concentrating on packing!

Poor orcs, just wanting to find a quiet place to rest, away from the trees going OM NOM NOM NOM . . . .

I absolutely agree about the orcs - I could just see them deciding to stay hidden and then one, stupider than the rest, thinking 'Woman! Horse!' and the rest having to follow him.

As for Lothíriel - you are right in as much as the role of the orcs was really to leave the Dol Amroth party without an efficient translator... And if your future queen had shut herself in her bedroom and refused to come out you might try to avoid looking your king in the eye, too!

Good luck with the packing. You will be pleased to hear I am spending a lot of my time writing the next bit :)

I am always delighted to hear that your muse is cooperating! :-)

The packing's actually going quite well; most of the remaining kitchen gear can be boxed up today, and the bedroom is finished except for the lamps and the bedframe, which will be put away Sunday evening.
