Really nice, gentle ending to the chapter -- a case where less drama really is more -- especially because I was feeling that Haldir was being left out...

I liked the idea that the Valar might have made a pass through the mountains especially for Legolas and his people, too.

Thank you - I wanted it to almost look as if it was building to a more dramatic point - perhaps a sex scene - and then change the whole mood, so I'm really pleased it works.

And a new pass through seemed well within their capabilities, I thought, and right for something that will be a whole new beginning for the whole continent, really. Almost a New Age!
