What a delightful chapter! Ferveren is another great OC creation of yours, and works exceedingly well, particularly with these bits of being re-housed in her hroä. I love your cultural details about the Silvan elves and meeting again the tradition of secret Silvan and public Sindarin name. I don't know if I asked this before, but does Legolas have a secret Silvan name, too? I'm also wondering why Haldir asks himself this about his father, without having a secret name as well - I've clearly forgotten too much of your Returnverse. Another good reason to re-read it soon which I plan already, to catch up a bit with reviews.
I hope as well that Legolas will be happy to see his mother again! *g*
it was as if the whole forest, for miles around, was one giant choir and orchestra combined. ♥ I'm just imagining a kind of huge church organ made from trees with that incomparable, unique and overwhelming sound.
. Her relationship as Legolas’ possible future wife-mother was something she thought best left alone for now.*g
( ... )
Not as far as I am aware (at least yet) - although it is possible his parents followed the Silvan tradition and there is a name that only they use for him.

In the Returnverse I see Haldir's mother as being Sindar, but his father as one of the Silvans who inhabited the forest first. And his mother's culture and traditions having totally smothered his father's. So if Thorontor also has a Silvan name his wife will have ignored it - it is quite possible that his Sindarin name is one that she chose for him when they were bound.
As the Sindar/Noldor culture has almost completely taken over in Lothlorien there would have been no thought of giving Haldir, or his brothers, Silvan names as well. If their father ever thought of them in his mind, he wouldn't have shared them with his wife.
I rather think Legolas will be pleased to see him mother. :)
