If I had to absolutely choose an armed forces group to go to, it would be the navy. They travel all over the place and some people I know online have been in it and had a great time. On the other hand.. bring a condom. or 500.

And let the harassment of recruiters begin. It must suck for them to have a message board for questions.

Mike: I want to join the navy to be a firefighter so that I can learn skills for employment back here with the department at home. Is it a guaranteed deal that we will get the job that we were signed up for at the time of recruitment?

Re from Recruiter: You will receive the required training for the rate (job) you have guaranteed in your contract.

Re from Mike: I found this on the Navy site..."Your recruiter can't...guarantee you a particular career or steer you toward one." This seems to be in direct opposition of your statement. Please explain which one is correct.
