I just wanted to take a moment enlighten you all, because everyone seems to be using pumpkin these days, on fact that you can use real pumpkins to make pumpkin puree for the use in cupcakes, breads, pie, muffins - whatever! Its really easy and it taste way better! When we carve pumpkins ever year, we freeze the pulp so that it can be used for baking later on. I always steal it to make cupcakes with. Definitely better than canned.

I did this for the first time last year, for my pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin pies. Heavenly!!

thanks for the tip! I used canned pumpkin pie stuff last year and my cupcakes tasted fine, but were a really weird texture and kind of ugly, haha. I'll definitely try real pumpkins this year.
