I don't have a double boiler or anything fancy. I was looking for an easy chocolate frosting recipe (with real butter etc is good). I think I will frost once I get to where I'm going...it will have to live in a tupperware in the fridge until I have a chance to frost ( Read more... )

Don't have an icing recipe to offer, but if you ever do want to attempt something that calls for a double boiler, it's super easy to get by without one. All I do is boil water in a saucepan (with the water about an inch or so deep, I think), then sit a glass bowl inside the boiling water and melt the chocolate in there, constantly stirring once it starts going a little soft. Much easier than I thought it would be, and it opens you up to lots more recipes you thought you may not be able to do!
