I'm not really sure why, but I have really wanted some kind of strawberry banana snack! So I thought hard and figured out the perfect snack would be a cake or even better cupcake!! So has anyone ever seen/made a strawberry banana cake recipe? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I was actually thinking about this just this afternoon! Last summer I made some strawberry-banana cupcakes that were real good ... I took the lazy way and used a strawberry boxed mix and filled them with mashed banana, and frosted them in pre-made strawberry frosting. If I made them from scratch I'm sure they would have been better.

I imagine using a vanilla cupcake, topping it with round slices of banana, then top it with a scoop of strawberry ice cream or strawberry frozen yogurt, then top it with whipped cream, and lastly top it with a deep red ripe strawberry.

I have done it before with a banana cake recipe before. So if the recipe calls for 3bananas, I will weight the bananas and use one only, substitute strawberries for the rest of the bananas in weight. I hope it makes sense.
