I apologize, I just wrote in your journal about how your link didn't work, but it does now. And I said it was in bake bake bake, but it's really curious cupcakes.
it looks like you said that yourself in the post. Anyway, They all look really awesome! The rose ones sound amazing. Do you have a recipe for them?
Oh no problems. It was REALLY annoying. Kept looking like it was going to work, & then it would load and there were photos & error messages everywhere. Arghhh. It's all good now tho :]
& thank you! & yes I do, I think I've previously posted it here, shall look & save myself a trip to the kitchen!
Frosting: 90g butter 300g icing sugar 3 tbsp rose syrup 1/2 tsp rose water pink food colouring
Preheat oven to 180. Mix dry ingredients & set aside. Cream butter & sugar. Add eggs one at a time & mix well between them. Alternatively add dry ingredients & syrup & milk, blending well after each addition. Bake for about 25-30 minutes.
That recipe makes LOADS though, so this time I halfed it and it worked out nicely to 12 cakes :]
Mmm these look so yummy! I love the penguins! If you don't mind me asking, where do you get your sprinkles/flavouring/glitter/colouring etc in Edinburgh? Or do you order them online?
I've been looking everywhere for good baking equipment up here!
& yeah, no problem. There's a cake decorating shop on Nicolson St called the finishing touch - they mainly are for wedding favours so there's loads of boxes/ribbons/bits & bobs, but they have a handy section at the back with sprinkles & glitter (I am addicted to glitter at the moment).
Failing that, I use www.makeawishcakeshop.co.uk which is really good.
If you are looking for bakeware (pans, etc) the home section of tkmaxx is random, but really good.
& I'm constantly on the look out, cause you can find cake decorating things in the most random places these days!
