Your butterflies are beautiful! Did you use royal icing to make them? I have to make a fairy and butterfly cake for an 8 year old next week these would be perfect! Any tips?

Yes, they are royal icing. I would suggest making them as soon as possible because mine took a few days to dry. Also, use waxed paper, because otherwise they stick and are a pain to get off. Drawing wings (separate) on paper and sticking it under the waxed paper would help keep them even. My main problem was the wings didn't match. If you dont have a piping bag, a ziploc with the corner cut works ok. :) If you need more info, just ask.
