Skin Feeling

Yes, it's my very first skintone blend, and don't I feel stupidly proud of myself? :D

{main preview by cassandra@GoS - thank you!}

Neither model is wearing any makeup.

The face texture is a blend of features from a selection of Mouseyblue's 'Dusk' skintones, with light freckling on the nose, slight texturing on the cheeks, subtle eyebags, upper eyelashes only and textured lips. I edited the original lip texture quite a bit, removed the lower eyelashes and evened out the texture of the skin a little. I also added eyes from my own 'Box Set', Rensim's teeth (taken from Pyxis' 'Venice' skintone set), and texture for the inside of the mouth from Pooklet's 'My Poor Lover'.

The body texture is largely unchanged from Mouseyblue's version (original by Ephemera), although I did my best to fix some visible seams, and blended the adult and elder female waist with just a smidgen of Pyxis' 'Venice' body texture, to make the shading a little more realistic.

Once I'd done all that (phew!), I recoloured the base tone using a combination of Trapping's skintone colour actions and a few concoctions of my own:

I went as dark as I could, before pixelation stopped me. There is still a little pixelation on the darkest tones, but I did my best to eliminate it: all the textures were smoothed using Pooklet's method and imported into SimPE as DDS files to make them as smooth as possible.

Anyway, there you have it!
