In which Baekhyun discovers his powers
When Baekhyun discovers that he is a little different from the other kids his age, he does so in an admittedly showy and embarrassing fashion.
The word for his kind is Illustra, and it’s weird because apparently, his mother comes from a sub-branch of very strong family of Fades (no he wasn’t very sure what those were either), but it was rare that the ability to use magic actually surfaced in the sub-branch - even more because she married a non-magic user as well. Or Nomada, as he was told those were called.
He has two choices. The first is that they put some spells on him to suppress his magic and he return to normal life without a second thought. The second is that they pull him out of school and his current life and put him into a new one at an academy where they taught people around his age how to control their powers and perhaps even advance them.
He tried the first choice out first, because honestly, he just wants to lead a normal life where he studies, works, marries and then dies, and he can’t see his power really causing anyone else harm except himself. But then, apparently, because his powers are too damn surprisingly strong, they break through the suppression spells when an incident similar to when he first discovered his powers happens.
Baekhyun realizes that if he wants to stop literally glowing in embarrassment whenever going through public humiliation, he needs to go to this Aureole school.
