I had actually heard of Momo from Ribon, which I read on a monthly basis. The mangaka just recently finished Momo and started on another series, Sugar Soldier. I've read the first chapter online -- it's not something really up my alley, but Sakai's artwork is apparently quite popular.
I was actually wandering around the city while I was on my lunch break and decided to check if there was anything available - then I found the manga. The cover was pretty nice and it caught my attention!
I then decided to buy it and read it. On the backside it is said that it is a work from the Bestseller Sakai Mayu, which was quite promising. :)

It is a good manga though in my opinion.
