I posted the knee jerk reaction on Facebook. Now, here's something that's a little bit more thought out.

Tearbending! )

With Hiroshi completely out of business, what is gonna happen to Asami? What will she do next? She deserves more character growth, blast it.

2. Korra gets her powers back

Pretty much the nail in the coffin of my thoughts and concerns of the 2nd season (aka the 2nd half of Book 1). What should have been reserved for later for her powers to rebuild seems like she not only regain her powers, but the conclusion feels like she has gotten a lot stronger on all 4 elements, especially her supposed inexperienced airbending.

Only time will tell on what theme and conflict they will use for next season. The only things I can predict right now is expanding outside Republic City and utilizing the Great Depression as a means to progress the story, but that's just me.

Yeah, I really did not like the shipping in LoK. I NEVER liked Makorra. The personalities seemed a little too mixed up and the pairing not quite believable. I'd only find it believable if they broke up in the next season after realizing they were just silly youth caught up in their emotions. :P

And the pacing was so fast that it ruined the characterization. In the first episode or so, Korra was incredibly obnoxious, ignorant, sheltered, and immature. That was ok. Except suddenly she's a lot calmer and so perceptive that she figures outs everyone's backstories within seconds in order to push the plot along. If she was so clever, she wouldn't have gone bumbling about the city in such a manner as she had.

Also, I rather like your alternate ending!
