While I'm talking: happy birthday,
tvm. Hope the Winchester boys get magically transported to your house, with the car, but bizarrely without their clothes. *G*
The Male: So what's this episode about?
Me: I don't know. When the fangirls talk about it, they never seem to mention the plot...

Also, I still don't even watch this show. I just really enjoy your narration, and also the awesome things you and The Male say.

I'd back Keira in that contest too. But yeah. Let's just think about that hott for a moment.

Your recaps never fail to crack my shit up and I am eagerly anticipating the "Hell House" installment.

I am eagerly anticipating the episode! The Male squinted at the teaser and said, "So we miss that ep?" and I said "NO FUCKING WAY!" Except I think he does actually have a commitment to play badminton next Monday, so I'll have to tape it and watch it with him on Tuesday.
Also: *glee and curtsies*

So, I'm curious: were the good Dean parts (see: the bitch line, also? buckets of crazy) enough to get you to overlook the over-the-top horndog stuff (hee, Spanish Fly) or the out-of-character "don't leave me" speech? This is actually one of my least favorite eps from the season due to how heavily-handed Kripke writes him. I can't get over it. (And you read about how Jensen fought against the speech too, right?)

Nothing is ever enough to get me to overlook stuff. *G* Call it the editor-training. I can desperately in love with 95% of something, but I'm still going to call the other 5%. I did, indeed, find some elements of Dean just a bit over the top this ep.
I have not heard about Jensen's fight for integrity. Do tell! That scene was... well, conceptually, I have no problem with it. I feel it's something that's been circled around for a while now, and although Sam's the one who excels at whining out loud, eventually Dean was going to have to talk. In the quiet before the this-could-be-it storm is a pretty good place for him to dare his "if I don't say it, it can't be betrayed" reticence. I find just about every "serious" scene in this show to be clunky, and frankly, there's no sin in the "don't leave me" scene that isn't well and truly trumped in the reunion/disunion sequence at the end. Also, Jensen's delivery was just so fucking good that I was only a little troubled by ( ... )
