More essential add-ons for Firefox

I finally have my new computer -- OMG YAY -- which is very shiny and very fast, but is also driving me spare. I'd forgotten how much tweaking I'd done to the old one over the years. I keep going to do things, like a word count on a web page, or adding something to Read-it-Later, and can't. Because the add-on isn't installed yet. Who knew I used so ( Read more... )

There are a few of them around, but it's finding one that doesn't bug you too much that's the trick. I'm liking this one so far.

Yay, I'm glad you're finding it useful. I've actually used the first post several times myself, when setting up computers for other people. Very handy to have them all in one place.

Okay, so thanks to you I've figured out how to open up the Kindle I got for Christmas to all kinds of fabulous possibilities. Apparently you can link the open-source ebook library software Calibre to Readitlater. Calibre will automatically download readitlater web pages to Calibre in a format that I can then read on my Kindle. This. Is. Awesome. :-)
