Apparently its not as accurate as a sonogram- because the puppies' bones are still soft? But it works enough to 'pick up' their skulls- and to give a rough estimate.
There is a woman who's a specialist in doing natal sonograms, in S. California- but she doesn't have an office. Apparently she rotates around a few vet offices, using their equipement for appointments. We did have her confirm the pregnancy, but she's not anywhere close by atm, so- X-ray!

That was quick. For some reason I expected gestation to be longer. I hope it all goes well and there are little bitty fluffballs soon!
