When I was visiting with saphyria and her family, often they'd mention places they had gone to- just off driving. Missouri. Mississippi. Tennesse. So on, and so forth. North, South, East and West. All sorts of places relatively nearby

I think the first time I visited my relatives in Wisconsin- who live in very rural Dodge County, about 2 hours from Milwalkee- that the idea that people don't ever occured to me.

Totally different worlds.

(Now, I wouldn't mind living far away from 'everything'- that makes trips to go to it that much more special.)
