That has to be one of the stupidest things ever said. Like ever. I'm not sure if there are words to describe the stupid that it is.

It's good to want things, we all do. If you do manage to get what you want, don't pretend you didn't want it, and please, don't lie about it.
Is this in regards to something specific or just a generalness?
And in conclusion, I read or maybe heard somewhere that it's not really about 'survival of the fittest anymore but more survival of the prettiest.' [paraphrased slightly] and yeah. It really sadly, kind of is.
As for the "pretending you don't want it," it was a general observation, sparked by something specific. Nothing important, just my personal reaction to something I read. And then I realized, it was kind of true for a lot of folks in the business. I mean, some of them kill themselves to be famous, then act like they have no interest in the trappings of fame - but you see them at every opening, getting swag. I just think - dude, admit it - you wanted free stuff. I do too

The world sucks and it isn't fair is it?! Gah! We do all put too much on appearance and...it just seems to get worse doesn't it? There was an interesting doc here the other day about what teens see as 'normal' looks and the skewed perceptions is scary.
Basically I agree with you that the world ain't fair, that people judge a book by its cover and that equal opportunities is nothing more than a Bigfoot story. And I agree it sucks
