As this is a community driven community I thought it only appropriate that I take any suggestions from the community and put them into action. So, if you have any idea's for weekly challenges or the betterment of the community in general, please do not hesitate to comment

Maybe check out the NY's Guggenheim exhibiton on a regular basis and create challanges from the works there. :)

Tattoo art. As in: reproduction of art works.

Yes, Andy Warhol is a given. I also really dig the tattoo art. It sure had become popular these days.

I would love to do some design based icons. Perhaps famous chairs (Red/Blue Chair, the Barcelona Chair, etc.) or furniture, art, fashion and other things from the art nouveau period. Art in general would be fun as well. This might be boring and nerdy, but iconic invertions in design like fiestware and tupperware (I'm an interior design major, can you tell?) Another idea is fashion icons, like the mini skirt. Are iconic people included in the community?

I really love all of your ideas. Iconic people will definitely be in this community as well. The one thing I doubt you'll see much of is sports related...just because I'm not into that as much, but you never know, there may be a Babe Ruth challenge, who knows!?

This is really kind of turning into a random icontest, just because there's so much out there and really everything can be considered history. I can say this now that there will be a many 'art related' contests as I was an art major myself and it's what I know about.

You seem to have lots of great ideas, I hope you will continue to suggest them!

Oooh! There are so many iconic people out there! (I'm not much for sprots either!) Princess Diana, The Beatles, WWII Pin-up girls, Miss. Monroe, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers (I adore them!). Maybe Classic Oscar winning movies would be appropriate since we just had the oscars. Oh I was also thinking fabrics by marimekko are very influencial!
